Graphic Design 1 & 2

Graphic Design I & II are both semester long electives for students interested in learning how design thinking and design processes can be used as a catalyst for exploration, innovation and visual communication. Graphic Design I focuses on typography and the many ways design has become a powerful force in the 21st century. Graphic Design II focuses on printmaking techniques and the function of printmaking as a means of visual communication. Students will become familiar with design principles, layout design, and a variety of techniques related to the field.
 

This course is open to sophomores, juniors and seniors who have completed the prerequisite course of Studio Art.  Students do not need to take Graphic Design 1 before taking Graphic Design 2.
